MaryAnn I am sorry to hear about John's passing. John was always pleasant to all. Sometimes I could not understand how he found kind words in response to some of the men at MHC. He was fun to golf with and work with. No one did more than he to make MHC a great place to raise a family. Peggy and my thoughts and prayers go out to John and your family The words of John's bus mate from 60+ years ago captured that John understood what life is all about Joe O'Neill

I wish peace and eternal light for Mr. Curran & send all my love and condolences to Mrs. Curran and family. Mr. Curran was always so lovely at the Hoosic, one of my favorite gentleman to chat and laugh with! He was always quick with a joke and smile! I have missed him these last few years and I'm so grateful he is resting at peace. Love and light to the Curran family ♥️

Fatty was our goalie on our Xavier H. S. Hockey team. He didn't have any experience as hockey goalie but did have experience as a baseball catcher. He made up for his lack of experience with desire to win and not to let down his teammates. I have fond memories of winning Catholic League championship in 1966 with John in the nets. Rest peacefully, my brother and thank you for all your contributions

I went to Xavier with John. He was one of my favorite classmates. I treasured seeing him at all the official reunions and many other small gatherings of classmates over the years. Whenever we planned a gathering we always depended on Mike Harrington to bring Fatty (forgive me but that nickname was universally used at Xavier with great affection; I forgot his name was John. I thought he arrived at Xavier with that moniker. I was more than surprised at our 50th reunion when Charlie Hegarty, former Jesuit and keynote speaker at the 50th, in his address "confessed" that he had hung that name on John). I know I speak for all of his classmates at Xavier when I say, we loved him. I regret I am in Florida and cannot be there to honor him. Neal Walker
