John J. “Jay” Broderick, 75, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, passed away September 24, 2022.

Born in Dorchester to the late Patrick and Bridget (Lyons) Broderick. Jay graduated from B. C. High School and the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He was a supervisor of repair for the MBTA for over 23 years. Member of the Order of the Elks, Town River Yacht Club, and the Alliance of MBTA Unions.

Beloved husband of Barbara E. (Craven) Broderick. Loving brother of Stephen Broderick and his wife Coranna of FL, Paul Broderick and his wife Joanne of Quincy and Mark Broderick and his wife Susan of Quincy, and the late Joseph, Thomas and surviving wife Roberta, Margaret and Richard Keane and Kevin and Kathy Broderick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory’s Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Thursday, September 29 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery.
