Jocelyne Marie Simeon, age 70, loving mother of three, and adoring wife to late Gerard D. Hyacinthe husband, passed away in the early hours of July 3rd after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Jocelyne was born in 1953 in Cape Haitian in Haiti and grew up surrounded by her large family. She had 7 other siblings and a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins. Jocelyne was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She met her husband Gerard in 1988 while at her small part-time job and they fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their own. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. She never told any of her 3 children off, and spoiled them as much as she possibly could.

Jocelyne was a grandmother of 6 and she was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger. In her free time, Jocelyne loved to go on walks by the beach and going to church with her family as often as possible. She believed it was very important to stay active.

She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her 3 sons: Ralph, Dave Marvin who adore her with all of their hearts. We know that we can't have you but were happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.

Visitation will be held at the Mount Of Olives Evangelical Baptist Church, 1285 Hyde Park Avenue, Hyde Park on Saturday, July 20th from 8:30-9:30AM. Funeral Service to begin at 9:30AM. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
