Obituary for Jimmy Tyrone King

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Tyrone King (Ramirez), a man whose life was marked by a combination of service, struggles, resilience, and love. Jimmy, 43, passed away on 23 February 2025, leaving behind a complex legacy of both triumphs and tribulations.

Born on 11 August 1981, Jimmy served his country shortly out of high school for 4 years, as a United States Marine Corps veteran. His time in the military was just one chapter of a life filled with service to others. After his military service, he went on to inspire and shape the lives of countless children and students as a camp counselor and schoolteacher. For many years, Jimmy poured his heart and soul into his work, always striving to provide a positive impact on young minds and encourage them to reach for their dreams.

Jimmy was the proud father to Jaelene (19), James (15), Jayden (10) and J’Luis (2), who he loved dearly, instilled the importance of education, and encouraged them to be the best version of themselves.

Beyond his work and family, Jimmy was passionate about giving back to his community. Whether volunteering, mentoring, or simply lending a helping hand, he found joy in lifting others up. His generosity of spirit and willingness to help those in need will be remembered by all who knew him.

Jimmy’s memory will live on through his children, his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Jean King. He is survived by his father, Jimmy L. King, mother, Carissa Ramirez, and his 10 siblings.

Visiting hour on Tuesday March 11th 10-11 AM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 11 AM.
