Jeremiah Donahue, 87, of Sharon, originally from Dorchester, passed away Monday November 29, 2021. He was born to Eleanor & Jeremiah Donahue. He was one of 17 children, 8 boys & 9 girls.

Loving brother of Geraldine Spencer of NH, Jean McDermott of Quincy, Claire McLaughlin of Quincy, Theresa Leoncello of Quincy, Patty Boyce of Quincy, Diane Freda of Quincy, Denny Donahue of Franklin, Johnny Donahue of Weymouth, Marion Donahue of Dorchester, Janice Niak of Sharon and the late Freddie McDonald, Eleanor Hayes, David Donahue, Billy Donahue, Jimmy Donahue and Eddie Donahue. Admired Uncle of countless nieces & nephews.

Everyone loved Uncle Jerry! He had a great sense of humor. Some things he really enjoyed was the Horse Track at Suffolk Downs, playing bingo at Foxwoods Casino & watching bowling on T.V. on Saturdays. He loved all Boston Sports, particularly the Red Sox and Patriots and let’s not forget that he had to read the Boston Herald paper every day. But what made his days fulfilled is watching his great nieces & nephews grow up and come over to visit him. He always had candy on hand to give out.

Jerry served in the US Army from 1954-1956. Following the Army, he worked at Old Mr. Boston as a Supervisor for many years.

Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Sunday December 5 from 2-6 PM with a prayer service at 5:30 PM. Graveside service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Monday at 12:30 PM.
