Obituary for Jenny Valor Anthony

Jenny Valor (Wint) Anthony, 78 of Boston, Sunday January 15, 2023, peacefully passed away in her sleep. Born October 15, 1944, affectionately known as Mama, in the district of Brighton, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. She was raised by her parents Allan and Maggie Wint. She was the 6th of 10 children. She attended Santa Cruz, all age and secondary school. As she grew older, she relocated from Santa Cruz to Portmore, St. Catherine. She began working for a development company called Mattaland Construction Company. Jenny migrated to the United States at the age of 37. She attended Bunker Hill Community College, where she achieved her G.E.D., while working at the Fernald Center, Waltham, MA. As the years went by Jenny went back to Jamaica where she married the love of her life Ezekiel Anthony. After 40 years of services, she retired. When Jenny was not in church, she could be found in her garden planting flowers, vegetables, reading her daily bible verses, cooking, and listening to her gospel music. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Offering a helping hand wherever she could be of assistance. She leaves behind her loving husband Ezekiel Anthony, her children; Nelson, Barrington, Winston, Nerissa, Hope, Trevor, Richard and Peter (adopted children; Mario and Barrett). Grandchildren; Kemeisha, Vicki-Ann, Nikkeisha, Monique, Rudy, Jermaine, Ravene, Jillisa, Terrell, Victoria (RIP), Rashawn, Tevin, Sanai, Natalya, Shauna and Kenroy. Her great-grandchildren; Mahliyah, Trey, Jade, Raighlyn, Reah, Ramona, Ravon-Bilal, Emoni, Hassani, Raโ€™Mya, Sage and Xavier. Her siblings; Irvin, Leslie, Keith, Seno Wint and the late Derick, Doreen, Beryl, Ruby, and Millicent. A Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1076 Washington Street, DORCHESTER, Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hour will be held at the church from 10-11 AM. Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery.

    Blessings family ๐Ÿ™ What a beautiful blessing to know the family Nelson and Hope thank you for sharing your mom with me. I sat next to your mom's friend Ms Mary on Saturday her spirit was with her friend she comfort me and I comfort her just to hear her say it's going to be alright those was the last words my mom said to me and family we may go through some times but they don't last long .
