Jean-Claude Fenelon passed away of natural causes on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with his family by his side.
Jean-Claude Fenelon was born in Port-Au-Prince Haiti on September 27, 1936. Jean-Claude migrated to Boston, Massachusetts in February of 1967, joining his mother Hermosa Fenelon, youngest sister Adeline and his first-born sister, Sister Marie-Margaret. Soon after his arrival, he sent for his devoted wife, of 54 years, Marie-Denise Fenelon. He started his accounting Career at the Law Firm of Steven T. Ladousis and Boston Children’s Hospital. Jean-Claude Fenelon held various Accounting positions within the Law and Healthcare industries, prior to branching off with his own CPA business in the early 1980’s and earning his MBA from Bentley College soon after. He was a private man with a strong work ethic; a man of few words who loved his family whole heartedly.
The eldest of four children, was preceded in death by his father Gieudone & mother Hermosa (Dessources) Fenelon and his sister, Sister Marie-Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife Marie-Denise (Osse) Fenelon and their three daughters: Margaret Fenelon, Emanuela Smith & Alexandra Fenelon. He leaves behind his sisters Marie-Jose Narcisse, Adeline Fenelon and his nieces and nephews.
Jean-Claude was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson with whom he developed a loving bond and cherished every moment he spent with each of them. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews and their children whom he loved immensely.
This girl dad, Jean-Claude Fenelon, played an integral role in the communities he joined both professionally and personally. This devout Christian practiced his faith at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Mattapan, where he joined the Vestry and was the Treasurer for over 40 years. In addition, he was a seminarian, a mason: member of Freres Reunis, a member of the National Society of Accounting, member of the Parfaite Harmony Lodge as well as many other organizations.
Visiting Hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Thursday, June 3, from 10 – 11 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00. Interment Private.
