Jean Donald Celestin, age 59, of Port-au-Prince, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jean Donald was born in Port-au-Prince. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Economics [Faculte de Droit et des Sciences Economiques], a law school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Class of 1993.

He lived in Haiti most of his life.

He was employed at the Ministry of Youth & Sports [Ministere Jeunesse et Sports] as the Director of Human Resources from 1993 till death.

He loved playing badminton. He started playing the sport since the age of ten and has played in leagues and competed in thousands of games throughout his life with many trophies to marvel at. While in the United States, he also played the sport with his nephews and nieces in Mansfield.

Beloved son of the late mother Claire Jean-Jerome and father Justin Celestin.

Devoted brother of Marie Maud Celestin of New York, Frantz Calixte of Florida and his wife Marie-Rose Calixte, Frantz Calixte of Florida and his wife Marie-Rose Calixte, Mona Wagnac Denis of Florida, Josette Wagnac Hurlston of Florida and her husband John Hurlston II, Edwig Celestin of New York and his wife Edmonde Celestin, Jacques Nixon Celestin of Massachusetts and his wife Judith A. Celestin, Gerda Wagnac Jean-Louis of Florida and her husband Pierre D. Jean-Louis, Mario Celestin of Florida and his wife Flaurence Celestin, Marc Celestin, and Chantal Celestin-Dorzin of New York and her husband Edwin Dorzin.

Jean Donald Celestin is survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The homecoming will be held at New Jerusalem Evangelical Baptist Church, 871 North Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:00AM.
