Obituary for Jean Armony Auguste
With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Jean Armony Auguste, affectionately known as (Pè Auguste), on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was 83 years old. Born on February 15, 1941, in Bon-Repos, la Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, Haiti, Jean Armony peacefully ended his battle with cancer at home, surrounded by his loving family. Jean Armony passed away preceding his mother, Caridad Sanon, who is currently 104 years old.
Jean Armony was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, mentor, and trusted friend. His passion for farming and commitment to his community endeared him to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by his daughters, sons, grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and all those whose lives he touched deeply.
In the late 1970s, Jean Armony immigrated to Boston, where he established his home and became an integral part of the community. He exemplified the values of hard work and dedication, retiring from two jobs, both full-time and part-time, well beyond the age of 65.
Jean Armony lived by the principles of self-respect, integrity, and gratitude. He instilled in his family the importance of honoring one's word and never forgetting their roots. His guiding words—"Live with dignity and gratitude so you can die with honor and peace"—echo in the hearts of his children and grandchildren.
Even in the face of adversity, Jean Armony remained a pillar of strength and tranquility. When asked about his calm demeanor, he attributed it to his family's love and faith, emphasizing that agitation never solves anything. His enduring spirit and wisdom will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honoring Jean Armony Auguste's memory, may we all (the family) strive to live with the same grace, dignity, and unwavering faith that defined his remarkable life.
The Auguste family, along with their extended family (including spouses), extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered words of comfort and condolences during this time of profound loss. Your support has provided solace during this difficult period.
