I was madly in love with Jane from senior year in high school through graduate school. We would date for a while, then drift apart, and then I'd be drawn back to her again. I spent much time at her parent's house and at their place in Marshfield. She was my date for the senior prom in college and we shared many other happy events and experiences during those years. I was glad she had a. successful career as a librarian but a bit disappointed for her that she didn't find someone to share her love and life with. Nonetheless it sounds as if she had a good and happy life until her health deserted her. I hope that was the case.

I worked with Jane for many years at the Thomas Crane library. She was a wonderful friend and co-worker. Our offices were next to each other before the new addition was built and she would delight in telling stories of Robbie's phone calls and David's becoming a police officer. She loved the ocean and walking her beloved dogs along area beaches. She also loved to travel and is the only person I know who went to Easter Island. What an adventure! Because she volunteered at the Scituate Animal Shelter, Jane picked out a cat for me when I asked her if she thought there was a cat ready for adoption. Good job, Jane, thank you. Rest in peace, my friend.

Remembering my sweet cousin, Jane and all the fun we had together with all our other cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She was a smart. Thoughtful and caring lady who will always be missed. Rest in peace, Jane. Love, Susan

Jane was a member of MHS Class of 1957. She will be remember by many classmates. Our Thought's and prayers go out to Jane's family. Rest in Peace, Jane.

I volunteered with Jane at the animal shelter for a number of years... she was so dedicated. She was a mentor and a trainer for many volunteers. She gave much of her time to the growth and stability of the shelter. She served as a Chairman of the Board of Directors for a term. She is missed very much.

My condolences for your loss of a terrific lady. I have fond memories of working with Jane at the Scituate Animal Shelter. Her dedication, patience, and love for the animals were inspirational. Jane defined "animal lover" and made a difference in many lives, human and animal. Rest in peace.

My parents bought their 1st home right across the street from John and Barbara Granstrom in 1940. My parents had my older sister Susan and the Granstrom's had their little girl Barbara (Annette). Barbara was expecting her second daughter Jane. I came along in 1942 and the friendship began.. I could not have had a better playmate, dear and cherished friend , confidant, Auntie and Godmother to my middle child than Jane. I am blessed to have known the Granstrom family. They treated me as a member of their family. We went thru good and bad times together but we stayed forever strong. Our friendship was part of God's plan and I am forever grateful. I will miss my friend Janie, but we will meet at heavens gate and we can play and run together forever. I love you Janie. Peace❤️

Jane was the best summer neighbor our family could have asked for. She was happy to engage us, the rowdy children next door, and became fast friends with my parents and grandparents. As time went on, she repeated the process with my kids, who all have the fondest memories of her. My sincerest condolences to Annette, Bob, Robbie and David.. you lucked out having her in your life. She was the best and I'll never forget her <3
