Obituary for James Sena Cozzo

James Cozzo, 48, of Boston, MA passed away peacefully at his residence in Boston on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

James was born on September 19, 1972 to Gisela Sena-Campisi and James Cozzo Sr. in Boston. Graduating from Boston High School in 1989.

After graduation, James landed his first job at Home Depot in Quincy, MA where he later became the manager. James was skilled at a wide range of repairs, but flooring was his forte and he typically did a lot of work around the house.

James was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give his son the life he deserved. His family and friends meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was very proud of his son, James Scott Cozzo and always tried his best to support him.

James was very passionate with helping others and could often be found around his neighborhood giving someone a helping hand. He loved the beach and a nice cold beer.

Anyone that knew him would instantly be drawn to his vibrant personality and kind heart. He was the most loving person a family could ask for. Everyone’s “Jimmy, Jimbo, and favorite White Boy”.

James was predeceased by his grandfather, Julio Dias Sena. He is survived by his Mother, Gisela Sena-Campisi, Father, James Cozzo Sr., Son, James Scott Cozzo, Step Father, Joseph Campisi, Grandmother, Maria Bala Sena, Uncles, Viriato B. Sena, Sebastian B. Sena, Belmiro B. Sena, Julio B. Sena, Kevin B. Sena, Aunts, Leocadia B. Sena-Monteiro, Maria B. Sena-Dasilva, Benvinda B. Sena, Estella B. Sena, Maria B. Madelena Sena and will be lovingly remembered by many cousins, family, and Friends.

Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTR LOWER MILLS, Tuesday, January 26, 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends invited. Funeral services and interment private.

    To My Cousin Jimmy, wow you were such an inspiration to me when I was a kid when I come out to the family in Boston and you are one my favorite cousin, love you so much. I looked up too, with the urban B-Boy style you I for sure fallowed suit, with hip-hop and the new music you had at DaDa's every summer, I would count the days to summer vacation waiting to see you.. With open arms at login airport waiting for my arrival... mmm just wow I so much I want to say, man Brockton best times of my life as kids you inspired me, Jimmy you and Cousin Chris had my back when the cousin from Arizona came into town, kids from the neighborhood picked on me y'all had my back like I said, I will never forget that!!! Well let you know follow my dreams of becoming a DJ cane true and was blessed to perform with the same artists we listened to when we where kids!! You molded me and by getting into music and that creative side Jimmy you ignited that fire that desire at such a young age for me, I miss you and I love you and I wish that we were able to cross paths when I was out in Boston I'll be adding more to this....
