Obituary for Ilda Hyacinthe

Ilda Hyacinthe of Boston, passed away on November 11, 2024. She was 92 years old.

Beloved mother of Marc Lamarre, Franz Lamarre, Nader Jean-Pierre, Hilton Jean Pierre, and her adopted son Vilbrun Guyllaune. Sister of Florianne, Beatrice, Rachel and Marie. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Ilda was born and raised in Cavaillon, Haiti. She immigrated to the United States in the late 1980’s. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and always caring for those she loved. Ilda was a devoted Catholic and read her bible religiously. She enjoyed cooking, crosswords, sewing and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Visiting hour on Friday November 22th from 10-11 AM in Our lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Angela Church, 1540 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.

    Momma Hilda lived a full life, I do not know anyone with a greater heart. She was brave, came from Haiti to this country an an adult woman and still manage to absorb the culture and learn English to become an independant, contributing resident of this country. She loved her family more than anyone I knew. She was an example of selfless love. Thanks for the priviledge of knowing you. My kids Jeanelle, Erik, Miguel and Jessica will miss their abuela forever. Thanks for all the love.
