H. Valerie (Shea) Dalton of Braintree formerly of Dorchester and North Port Florida passed away on July 9, 2023 at the age of 83.

Born and raised in Boston, Valerie graduated from Archbishop Cushing High School in South Boston and attended Boston State Teachers College. She is the wife of the late William R. Dalton, daughter of the late Frank and Florence Shea, sister of the late Francis W. Shea, Jr., and the late James Harris.

Valerie is survived by her son Bill Dalton, Jr. of Holbrook; brother Phil and Ellen Shea of Randolph; sister Marie Harris of South Weymouth, and several nieces & nephews.

Valerie will be remembered for her love of music and great enjoyment joining in at Diamond Jim's Piano Bar with Gladys playing piano at the Lenox Hotel in Boston.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, July 15th. from 9-10AM. Funeral Service to begin at 10:30AM at Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Private.
