Helen V. Mathis passed away early on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA at the age of 82.

On October 29, 1938 an angel was born to the late James Daniel and Annie Bell Mathis. Helen was the tenth of 12 children born in Edgefield, South Carolina. At an early age she was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. After high school she moved to Boston, MA and was employed by Raytheon for many years as a Keypunch Operator until retirement.

Helen was preceded in death by her brothers Ollie, Otis and Johnnie and four sisters Carrie, Margaret, Nell and Ethel. She is survived by sisters, Mary Mosley and Lydia Mathis of Boston, MA and Louise Arrington and brother, Willie Mathis both of Burlington, North Carolina. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, 9-10 AM.
