Helen Sandra DeAllie, loving and devoted wife of Henry DeAllie, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on September 16th, 2024 at Boston Medical Center. Helen was born in England and immigrated to the Boston area with her husband Henry in 1973. Helen worked for over two decades at Hyperion Industries Corporation in Watertown, MA as an electronics assembler and most recently was employed at Temptronic Corporation in Mansfield, MA. Helen enjoyed entertaining and will be fondly remembered for her exceptional cooking, especially her famous fish cakes. Helen was family oriented and her home was a warm gathering place for both local relatives and those visiting from abroad. Helen’s love extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a second mother to several family members, offering guidance and support when it was needed most. As an avid reader, gardener and sports fan, Helen enjoyed visiting the local library, tending to her vegetable garden, and proudly cheered on the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox. Helen loved animals, especially her dogs, Dexter and Bam Bam. The community knew her well for feeding the birds and stray cats who regularly visited her house.

Helen was predeceased by her daughter Heather DeAllie and sons Derrick DeAllie, Stephen DeAllie and Jason DeAllie. She is survived by her husband Henry, son Paul DeAllie, grandchildren Karl DeAllie, Christopher DeAllie (Hannah), Jessica DeAllie, Rebecca DeAllie, Derek DeAllie, Paula DeAllie, Derrick DeAllie, Layna DeAllie, Jayla DeAllie, Nicholas DeAllie and Thaleia DeAllie, great-grandchildren Amina Alleyne, Kameron Alleyne and Kensie Alleyne, brother-in-law Roderick DeAllie, sister-in-law Monica DeAllie and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Dear Uncle Henry, I am heartbroken for your loss. Auntie Helen was a true Brit with a spirit that shone brightly. I fondly remember our annual trips to Sears in Boston, where both Auntie Helen and Mum would "go to town" buying clothes for everyone! They were genuinely heartbroken when it closed! She was one of Mum's favorite people, and I cherish the memories of her visit to the UK in 2019. It was special to see her reconnect with the places of her youth, and I'll always treasure the fish cake recipe she passed down from Granny. Auntie Helen had a heart of gold. She loved Cadbury fudge and Flake bars, along with Cumberland sausages and bacon—"the real stuff." She was incredibly generous, especially to the children, whom she loved and adored, along with all the animals of the world. I hope the neighborhood has someone with a heart of gold like hers to continue feeding the wild cats and turkeys. I'm so sorry we are not with you today, but please know that our thoughts and love are with you during this difficult time. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts. With love and deepest sympathy, Lisa, Jemel, Leila & Mr. Abel
