Obituary for Harryson Jean-Baptiste, Jr.

Harryson Jean-Baptiste, Jr. of Boston died suddenly on August 25, 2021. He was 24 years old. Beloved son of Danisha Reddick of Boston and Harryson Jean-Baptiste from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Cherished brother of Ariana M. Jean-Baptiste of Boston. Loving grandson of Phylda Reddick and Pastor James Charles Wade; Adrienne Louis-Jean and Gislene Jean-Baptiste. Adored great-grandson of Clara Reddick. Harryson is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Harryson, affectionately known to family and friends as “Junior,” “Jay-Jay,” and “Hego,” was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Excel High School in South Boston and graduated from South Broward High School in Hollywood, FL, Class of 2016. Harryson loved music, video games, and had a contagious sense of humor. He loved to make people happy by joking around and doing things to make them smile. Being surrounded by family and friends was so special to him, because he knew food would be involved, which if anyone knew him, they knew food was the way to his heart. He loved eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Haitian spaghetti, Haitian black rice and Southwestern Chicken. Most of all Harryson loved his family, especially his baby sister. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved him.

Visiting hours on Friday Sept 3rd 4-8 p.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Greater Love Tabernacle Church, 101 Nightingale Street, Dorchester. Interment in Saint Michael Cemetery, Boston. Masks required.
