Giovanni Gendraw passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Giovanni was a talented young man. He spent many years practicing martial arts and was able to earn himself a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He also had a few other hobbies such as basketball, rapping and singing.

He was the beloved son of Penelope Gendraw and the late Jay Downey. Loving Grandson of Willie Mae Gendraw. Cherished nephew of Cassie Gendraw, Samson Gendraw, Vicki Gendraw, Antonio Gendraw, Kareem Gendraw and Edward Downey. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and other relatives who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Bethlehem Healing Temple, 428 Blue Hill Avenue Dorchester, MA on Monday June 14 from 10-11 AM. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM at the church. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
