Florence M. Kelly (Donahue) of Dorchester passed away peacefully on September 9, 2021, she was 87.

Florence was a lifelong resident of Dorchester having attended the Oliver Wendell Holmes School before graduating from the Dorchester High School for girls in 1951.

After high school she went to work as a bookkeeper for Hoods Milk. In 1959 she married Paul Kelly of Dorchester and together they had 5 children. She was a devout member of Saint Gregory’s Parish for more than 50 years. She sang in the church choir, taught CCD classes, and was a member of the Knights’ of Columbus co-ed bowling league.

During her lifetime she enjoyed ballet, music, singing, bowling, reading, golf, vacationing on Peaks Island, Maine and spending time with her family, friends, relatives and her 8 grandchildren: Kelly, Kaitlyn, Brendan, Julianne, Caroline, Shannon, Olivia and Jack.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Lillian Donahue, her husband Paul, and daughter Kathryn. She is survived by her daughters Janice Duval (Robert Duval), Anne Flaherty (Joseph Flaherty) and Eileen Foscaldo (David Foscaldo) and son John Kelly (Michelle Kelly) and brother Jack Donahue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Gregory Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Thursday September 16 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday September 15 from 4-8 PM. Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery.
