Obituary for Ezio Cicerone

Ezio Cicerone, of Braintree, formerly Quincy, suddenly June 6, 2022.

Ezio was born in Prezza, Italy, and immigrated to the United States in 1957, settling in the North End of Boston along with many other Italians seeking a better life. Although not yet a citizen, he was drafted into the United States military during the Vietnam Conflict in 1962. He served his new country in the US Army as a Private First Class, honorably discharged in 1964. Upon returning from his service, he proudly became a United States Citizen and married the love of his life Flora (Timperio) Cicerone. They made their new home in Quincy, MA where they raised their three beautiful children.

For 30 years, Ezio worked as a foreman for the Boston Precision Parts Company, a sheet metal fabricator in Hyde Park, which was a contractor for the U.S. Military. He was a hard worker, a meticulous craftsman and a master of many trades.

He was a lifelong member of the Torre Dei Passeri Social Club in Quincy where he met countless friends spending time at dinner dances and playing cards, bocce and bowling.

He loved to cook, garden and make his annual vintage of delicious red wine. His absolute favorite activity, outside of spending time with his cherished grandchildren, was hunting. Ezio would never miss the annual hunting season in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. This was his happy place for over 40 years which included his camp where many memories and long hunting tales were told by the fire.

Ezio was preceded in death by his loving wife Flora, in 1991. Survived by his children, Annamarie Coyne, husband Jimmy of Milton, Claudia English, husband James of Winthrop and John D. Cicerone, wife Kimberly of Brunswick, OH. Beloved Grampy to James Jr., Flora, Francesca, Emma, Vanessa, Elle, Gianna, and Anabella.
