Obituary for Dre Taylor

Dre Taylor, 27, of Boston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Dre was born July 16, 1993 to O’Mario McConnico and Felicia Taylor. He was born and raised in Boston. As a child, he attended local schools. As an adult, he worked at W.B. Mason and most recently at the Goodwill.

Dre was a creative young man at heart. He loved to draw, cook and listen to music loudly. When he walked into a room, everyone joked that his theme music would follow him. His love for cooking developed at a young age; collard greens, mac and cheese and steak were his specialties. He enjoyed playing video games and fashion. He was never seen without a hat that coordinated his outfits. Dre could always be found on his scooter or bike before transitioning to his first car.

Dre will always be remembered as a respectful, kind, and sweet man. He was compassionate and never forgot where he came from and those that meant a lot to him. He was family oriented, being around his family made his heart full. He lit up a room with his deep dimples and sweet smile. He was a charming young prince that commanded the attention of any room he was in. His friends and all those that loved him will always remember him fondly.

Dre is predeceased by his beloved grandmother Donna Taylor, mother Felicia Taylor and Bernice Strand or “Nana” as he affectionately referred to her.

He is survived by his father O’Mario McConnico, his grandmother Teresa McConnico, his step mother Eulanda Sequeira, his grandfather Leroy Truley, his sister Brooke Marie-Lynn Weaver, his aunts Alicia Taylor, Donna O’Connor, Carole Maxwell, his uncles: Larry and Joe Simmons, several great-aunts, Dante, Ghistla, Janae, Jalisa and countless other cousins.

Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday February 24, from 9:30-11:00 AM.

Funeral service and interment private.
