Obituary for Dorin Alexandria Prevost-Massicott

Dorin Alexandria Prevost-Massicott, affectionately known as "Andria” or “Angie,” was born on November 10th, 1943, on the nature island of Dominica to Charlesia Bannis and Benoit Joseph Prevost.

In 1970, Andria, along with her daughter Cherel and niece Janice, moved to Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I. to join her sister Rona ("Varon"). Shortly thereafter, Andria married Burton Massicott and moved her eldest daughter, Gloria ("June"), from Dominica to St. Croix. In 1973, Andria welcomed her youngest daughter, Melinda, and later brought her remaining daughters, Avanel and Alison, to join the rest of the family in St. Croix.

In 1980, Andria and her daughters, Melinda and Cherel, along with her cousin, Lucille, moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where they joined her daughter June. By October of that same year, Avanel, Janice, and Alison also joined Andria in Boston, completing the family once more.

Andria was a strong, hard-working, and determined woman who worked tirelessly throughout her life and ensured that her family always came first. In Frederiksted, she worked at Timex Watch Factory and Jewelry store. In Boston, Andria worked as a nursing aide, providing exceptional care to elderly patients until she retired.

Andria's legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Andria is preceded in death by her mother, Charlesia; father, Benoit; sister, Rona; brothers Eaird, Franklin, and John; and her beloved grandson Michael.

Andrea was the mother of Melinda, Gloria, Avanel, Cherel, Alison, and Janice (niece). Grand mother of Romeo, Montero, Kimberly, Janelle, Edwin, Shaquan, Nikolas, Shakheim, Nichele, and Alanna. Great grandmother of Alorah, Elijah, Mike Jr., Micah, Maliah, Nathan Jr., Kavon, Kani, Kayden, Kanaja, and Kenyatta. Great-great Grandmother of Kani, Jr. and Nylah.

Sister of Francisca (St. Croix), Wilhelmina ("T-Gal"), Olivette, Ruth, Esther, Josephine, Leah, Julian, Agustus ("Gusto"), and Marcel.

Andria also leaves behind her son-in-laws Phillip and Jason, and many loving family members and cherished friends, including Joshuwa (“Josh"), Terrill, Zachary, Kenny, Chrissy, Melissa, Desmond, Denea, Eleanor ("Paula" St. Croix), Lucille, Flora, Theo, Gilbert, Marian (St. Croix), Walter, Lou, Maria, Woody, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.
