Deborah A. Girard, of Quincy, 59, died May 14, 2021 at home, surrounded by loving family members after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts to Alfred and Gayle (Thayer) Girard. She graduated from Billerica High School where she played field hockey, basketball and softball.

Deb’s love of people made her a natural fit for the career choices she made in sales and management. Some of the jobs she held included a corporate trainer, branch manager for construction containers, and her final love of creating her own estate sales company.

She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 34 in Rock Hill, SC for over 20 years.

Deb was an avid golfer, fisher, and sports enthusiast. She was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan. Her summers were spent on her pontoon boat “Yesterday’s Dream II” named after her father’s boat.

Deborah was predeceased by her parents Gayle E. and Alfred L. Girard.

The family includes her longtime partner of 35 years, Sandra Whelden, her siblings Michael A. Girard and his wife, Maria, Mark S. Girard and his wife, Crystal, David T. Girard and his wife Rachel, Ruth A. Mulvey and her husband John and Jennifer H. Bengtson and her husband Andrew, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the team at Dana Farber and Care Dimensions Hospice for the care they provided to Deb.
