Obituary for David Kevin Perry

David (Kevin) Perry was born on September 16, 1965 in Boston, Massachusetts at Beth Israel Hospital, as the 4th edition to our family where he and our family lived in Billerica, Massachusetts at the time of his birth. He was born to Mary L. Perry and Elbert G. Perry (both deceased). He and his family lived in Billerica, MA till 1967 and then moved and lived in Pepperell, MA till 1969. His family then moved all the way to Atlanta,Georgia for only one year and returned to Boston, MA.

Kevin attended Boston public schools until second grade and then attended the rest of his elementary, junior high (known as middle school now) and high school education in Newton, MA as part of the Metco Program. Kevin, as most of you who know him well, was a phenomenal artist and deeply passionate about his very special gift. He especially enjoyed expressing his artistic talent in the area of comic books where he created super heroes (sometimes the characters were based on real life people such as our brother Paul) and even wrote all his own scripts! Although Kevin did not go onto college to pursue Art (which he did regret later) he did take multiple art classes grow in his craft electronically to be able to create his art in a digital format. He also displayed his work at multiple art shows in the Atlanta area when he lived for many years. His other passion was playing football. He played for Newton South but because of an injury he had to quit. To make up for no longer being able to play football, he found great enjoyment in watching his Kansas City Chief's play and even better, watching them win!

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Renee M Reid of Milton, MA, brother, Mark Perry of Decatur, GA, sister Diahann M. Perry of Decatur, GA, brother Joseph Perry (deceased) brother-in-law, Edward, Reid, Jr, sister-in-laws Al-Nisa Muhammad and Elouise Perry, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, November 23rd from 2-3PM. Memorial Service to begin at 3PM. Relatives and friends invited.

I worked with Kevin at Boston Duck tours and we became friends. We would often talk about comics, Bruce Lee, and other awesome stuff from our childhoods. He was just a phenomenal artist and I loved seeing his work. I always loved seeing his smiling face waiting for us when were returned from the garage. He will be missed! - Lucien Spelman

A great artist, with humor and zest for life. He was funny and charming in High School and kept a sunny disposition through the rest of his days.
