Obituary for Christopher "C.J." Joshua Bailey

A little story of my Sun, our best friend, Christopher Joshua Bailey. My beloved CJ Born a protector on a beautiful August 3rd day, 1992. CJ leaves behind his mother, father, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. His Mama and Papa. His many aunts and uncles who loves him. Many cousins and best friends. Many people who loved him so. CJ lived his life spreading love. He is the breaker of barriers and connector of people. He loved his work he did with children. Teaching was one of his many purposes. He thought many to love, cherish, forgive, and push through. He showed many to live in the moment and to the maximum. He was the keeper of peace. CJ’s love for children began at a very young age. He cared so much for his little brothers and sisters. He worked as a camp and afterschool counselor for ABCD in his teens. Went on to graduate from Framingham State University in 2015. And pursued a career in education. CJ started his work as a Paraprofessional and worked his way to becoming a Special Education teacher for Boston Public Schools for many years. And then at his last position as a Special Education teacher to 5th and 6th graders for the Uncommon Schools, Roxbury Preparatory. Everyone loved him. And spoke highly of his care and detail that went into his work. His wanting his students to have the same opportunity as any other in the school, was something that stands out for many of his colleagues. CJ has many friends, who grew up with him since the Mather elementary school. He met more at the Woodrow Wilson middle school, again at Brighton high school, and then in college at Framingham State University. His friends became his family. His family became his friends.

My beloved CJ, my Sun. Our best friend. Our love! You left behind your best friend and mom You left behind your best friend and pops All your other best friends know. We will never be the same. Beautiful memories of you will live on in our hearts, Which will forever keep us close, and never far apart.

Christopher Joshua Bailey (August 3, 1992-December 3, 2022) Mommy Loves you for ALWAYS!

CJ had the biggest and purest heart, always checked up on me letting me know if I ever needed anything call him. His mom is incredible and his family the way they supported him and one another helped bring my family closer together. It was a blessing to see CJ all grown up out of highschool, out of college, and in his field of work now....His patience level taught me on the job to take my time. One of the most profound things about how CJ moved was in how he was raised sturdy foundation ....he learned from his mom what it means to work hard...he also poured into his students by making them work hard and also knowing they were special. His mission was to change the mindset of our youth because he knows how it is in our neighborhoods to grow up in lack....that is what I am grateful and thankful to have been able to witness that he accomplished his goals of being an impact in our education system in our community by being opposite of the statistics!! Love you CJ thank you for guiding me, listening, checking up, allowing me to pray with him and for him, as well as being apart of my family's life you made impact!! Thank you to your incredible mom, Lina my friend for sharing your legacy with my family! Earth lost and Heaven gained!! I'm gonna miss your laugh!! Love you Lina, Jilly, and Jourdan. Here is my prayer for the family: Father in Heaven I am grateful and thankful for your son CJ thank you for allowing us to encounter such a beautiful soul, I ask that you unify, comfort the family, wrap your arms around his mom, his siblings grandparents, grandparents, his friends, students, and loved ones as they mourn his absence, Lord remind them what his mission was, what he set out to do by helping, giving, and sharing, remind them to change the world too, remind them that CJ had a heart like you and we were blessed to feel that love, Father I ask that you protect, guide, comfort with your peace during the toughest times in Jesus Mighty Name AMEN 🙏 Love Chanel Thompson aka Ms.5678/ Ms Thompson
