Obituary for Charles J. Doulos
Charles Doulos, affectionately known by his friends as Chooch, passed away surrounded by his children, Kim Doulos, Reni Cadigan and Jimmy Doulos.
Charlie will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and enormous love for family and friends he considered family. While working in the vineyard of hospitality, he had a lasting impact on everyone. He had an astonishing ability to recount the past, telling stories about spending time with President Kennedy in the Oval Office, and serving chowder to the Senate. While continuing his father’s legacy as the owner of Jimmy’s Harborside Restaurant, he lit up the room with his stories.
What meant the most to those who knew him, however, is the love and devotion he felt for his family. To those who witnessed the way he interacted with his family and friends, they saw how important loyal relationships meant to him. He listened intently to the worries of those who came to him for advice and always left a smile on the face of those he cared about. He showed the true values of kindness, and how far that trait could take you. Loyalty and love of one’s family and friends are the values he cared about. Longwood was a special place to him and he maintained these treasured relationships thru the end of his life. From his children to his great granddaughter, the values he instilled will always guide those he loved, and who loved him back. We all thank him for taking us along his wondrous voyage full of adventures and life experiences. What we wouldn’t do for another day with you Dad!
Beloved father of Kim Doulos, Reni Cadigan and her husband Luke Cadigan and Jimmy Doulos. Charlie is survived by his sister Despina Doulos-Ayers and his grandchildren, James Cadigan, Luke Cadigan, Christine Cadigan, Mark DeMichaelis, Olivia DeMichaelis, John Demichaelis, and his great grandchild Ruby Manning.
