Obituary for Catherine Philomena McManus

Catherine Philomena (Lawlor) McManus, fondly known as “Mena”, died Sunday June 25, 2023.

Born and raised in the Forest Hills section of Boston, she raised her children in Hyde Park and Milton.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. McManus. Loving mother of John G. McManus and his wife Virginia M. of Norwell, Thomas F. McManus and his wife Ellen M. of Cohasset, Stephen M. and his wife Jennifer of Weymouth, Margaret A. McCahan and her husband John of Wayland and Kathleen M. Lagan and her husband Matthew of Milton. Grandmother of Carley Lahiff and her husband Sean, Elizabeth McManus, Craig, Matthew and Jack McCahan, Emmet and Mary Lagan and Emma McManus. Sister of the late Thomas F. Lawlor and his surviving wife Phyllis and their daughter Stephanie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, Thursday June 29 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Wednesday 4-7 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mena’s memory may be made to Saint Anthony Shrine, 100 Arch Street, Boston, MA 02110.
