Carolyn Margaret (Turner) Walsh, of Canton, formerly of Randolph, Milton and Naples, FL, died February 15, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, MA on May 7, 1932, Carolyn graduated from Milton High School in 1950. She later met and married Francis “Inga” Walsh, a Milton High School Hall of Fame basketball player and the first basketball player inducted into Northeastern University’s Hall of Fame.
Carolyn worked as an Administrative Assistant in the banking industry. She also worked as a youth softball coach for many years in Randolph with her best friend, Bernie Strong, and served as a summer recreation park supervisor in Randolph.
An accomplished artist who had many viewings and sales in MA and FL, Carolyn took most pleasure in gifting her oils, watercolors and sketches to friends and relatives.
Carolyn took up golf when she moved to Florida and was a lover of dogs. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a great laugh and was known for her colorful language.
Beloved wife of the late Francis “Inga” Walsh. Loving mother of Edwin Walsh and his wife, Cathleen, of Milton, Frank Walsh and his wife, Debra, of Sandwich, and Dennis Walsh and his wife, Suzanne, of Houston, TX. Sister of the late Eddie, Buddy, Billy and Doretha Turner and Winnifred (Turner) Chartier. Cherished grandmother of Matthew and his wife, Caitlin, of South Boston, Colin and his wife Meaghan of Bedford, NH, Katherine of South Boston, and Meagan and Caitlin Walsh, both of Houston, TX. Great-grandmother of Caroline and Jackson Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
