Carolyn J. (Harvey) Fortes, 43, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2021.

Born in Barbados September 15, 1977, she immigrated to Boston, MA in 1981 at the age of 3. She is the daughter of Elaine C. Harvey and Gordon A. Bryan.

She is survived by husband Manny Fortes and daughter Leah T. Fortes (12). She is the sister of Rhonda Best, Carlos Harvey, Quinta Francis-Perry, Sally-Ann Yearwood (Deceased), Kevin Harvey, Donna Bryan, Caitlin Bryan and Julene Bryan (deceased).

Carolyn was a student at Fayetteville State University, majoring in Psychology with a Minor in Biology. She had three (3) classes remaining before she could enter medical school and accomplish her dream of becoming a doctor to help others, and work with Doctors Without Borders.

Carolyn was a passionate and hardworking wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Her loving spirit and infectious ability to make others smile will live on as we remember and honor her legacy.

Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, March 20 from 3-5PM. Relatives and friends invited. Funeral Service and interment private.
