Happy heavenly birthday, Ma. You are missed greatly. We love you. Rest well. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ

My heart hurts ๐Ÿ’” indescribably. I know it's because of the DEEP love, respect and admiration that I had for my hero of over 50 years...and that I miss her terribly. It's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that she's no longer with us. I thank God for loaning us such an amazing woman that we got to call "Mom"...our earthly Angel; a beautiful mixture of kindness, gentleness, STRENGTH, compassion, love, understanding, intelligence, humor and humility. A woman of faith, she was not perfect, but God blessed us with the perfect mother. My mom understood her assignment and committed her life faithfully to nurturing, correcting, protecting, encouraging, providing for and blessing us and countless others (family, friends & complete strangers). Our mom had a heart of gold. She was a treasure and we all knew it. It was undeniable. Her beautiful legacy lives on in me (and my siblings and her grandchildren). I always strived to make her proud and ease her worries. I tried my best....and so this is no different. Despite how tough this is, my mom was the blueprint for putting on a smile and living each day in faith for a better day. Thank you, Ma....for a lifetime of memories that I will forever cherish โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’.....Until ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ ๐Ÿ˜˜

I write this with heart-breaking sadness of losing Carole and having good, no not good but great memories. I met Carole as a BPD 1978 Classmate and became best friends. While still assigned to the Academy and Jamaica Plain, Carole and I (the only two women on morning watch) would stand roll call with about 20 male officers. At this time during 1978 the male officers did not want to ride with a woman so Carole and I became patrolling partners. Somedays, I would say to myself and feel like what am I doing here. Once in the car, we would talk about everything - job, kids and life. Hence, the shift would end fast and great, enjoying her company. As the years past, we had different assignments resulting in us not seeing much of each other but, speaking frequently on the phone. Carole made me feel like one of her sisters. Carole was a strong, confident, considerate and loving friend. She was good to everyone. She will be extremely missed by me, my family and anyone who knew her. CONDOLENCES AND PRAYERS to the Klutz and Major Famlies. LOVE Kathy and Family

So sad to have to say goodbye to a life-long friend. We stayed in touch since those teenage years. She was such a gentle a person, I could not believe it when she joined the police force but she showed me that strong side while discussing her duties. May her family take solace in a life well lived & loved. I, one of many, will miss her. <3

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Ms. Carole Major. Having known her for 40 years, since my teenage years, her quiet strength, honesty, and unwavering love for young people were truly refreshing. Her welcoming nature, open heart, and nonjudgmental spirit created a safe haven for me and all who crossed her path. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift me, as well as those fortunate enough to have known her. I find comfort in knowing that she was at peace in her spirit and is now embraced in the loving arms of her eternal father. Now, an angel, she is forever looking over us. I am holding your family close to my heart. Thulani D.

I recently shared with cousin Carole of the time she babysat us, and made these biscuits for us to eat. I start off the conversation asking for the recipe. But she, like me, remembered they were so hard like hockey pucks, that we started playing and throwing them against the wall. We were brats, but she was so wonderful, kind and loving. We chuckled about it. I always held my cousin in high esteem, and she will always remain that way in my heart. Rest peacefully dear Caroleโฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
