Brandon Dante Williams, of Dorchester, MA was born on October 25, 1988 in Boston, Massachusetts. He departed this life on February 4, 2021.

Brandon grew up in Boston and lived his formative years in Jacksonville Florida, where he graduated from Jean Ribault High School. After graduating high school, he returned to Boston where he worked at Delta Projects Group Home as a counselor for several years. He met the love of his life E. Louis and from that union his daughter A. Williams was born.

Brandon’s greatest joy was his daughter and his greatest comfort was his family. He loved being a dad to his daughter, who he affectionately referred to as “Smurf”. Smurf was his greatest accomplishment and amplified the amazing person that Brandon was. Brandon loved spending time with his family and friends. He was all of his cousins’ “favorite”.

He loved to go deep sea fishing where he earned the name “Hollywood” because he reeled in more fish than anybody by casually pulling in fish after fish with a cigar dangling from his grinning face, while taunting his stepdad, uncles, Bobby, Kenny and brother-in-law Amil. He also loved poker, sports and coaching youth basketball. He was known for being “great at everything”. Brandon was an infectiously happy person. You never saw him angry and he was known as the peacemaker in the family. His compassion for helping others showed in the care he gave to Ms. Tina Benjamin of Jacksonville, FL who he affectionately called “Grandma.”

Brandon had a special relationship with his sister Tianna. They were each other’s best friends. They did everything together including teaming up on their mom to get their way. They had each other’s backs and no one could sever that unbreakable bond, even now. They always said to each other “I gotchu”.

Brandon had an entrepreneurial spirit and a great acumen for business. His first endeavor was a very successful Rum and Jerk/R&B party business with his cousin Nate. When he returned to Boston, he encouraged his mother to fulfill her dream of starting a family business. Cooking with his mother and sister at the VFW Post in Boston was his vision and “King and Queens” was born. Although it started out as two Queens and a King, Brandon managed to charm his partners into renaming the business to put the King first. They bonded even more “cheffing” it up in the kitchen. Brandon was known for his signature dishes such as the Jerk Burger, Rasta Pasta, Fried Grits and other delicious dishes.

Brandon leaves to cherish in his memory his love, E. Louis, loving Daughter A. Williams of Boston, MA. His mother Stephanie Giles and stepfather Linwood Giles Jr. of Dorchester, MA, his father Willie T. Williams Jr and stepmother Yolanda Williams of Jacksonville, FL, sister Tianna Martin-Edwards and Amil Edwards of Lynn MA, brothers Corey and Collin Williams of Jacksonville, FL., niece Kennedy Edwards of Lynn MA, and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas Martin Sr. and Annie L. Martin, grandparents Willie T. Williams Sr. and Bridget Williams, uncles Thomas Martin Jr. and Eugene Martin, cousins Rick Martin, Reginald Martin, Lakeah Travis, Sean Ely and Melissa Key.

Visiting hours will be held at the Good Shepherd Church of God in Christ, 18 Whittier Street, Roxbury, Saturday, February 13, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
