Barbara J. Priola of Quincy passed away on May 3 at age 104 years. She was born on October 28, 1918, the daughter of Helen (Connor) Priola and John Priola, immigrants from Killorglin, Ireland and Messina, Sicily, respectively.

She was predeceased by sisters Grace Connors and Catherine Priola and by brothers Guy and Vincent Priola and John Priolo.

She was a most nurturing and devoted Aunt to her siblings’ children, grand-children, and great-grand-children, Barbara Connors of Quincy, Thomas Connors of Medfield, Linda Hyman of Whitman, Robert Priolo of Northwood, NH, Marc Priola of Medford, Helen Gordon of Westwood, and Vincent Priola of Pembroke, and great-nephew Brendan Connors of Winchester.

A talented cook, she worked in the restaurant business until the onset of World War II led to her working as a skilled seamstress first in uniform production, and she continued as a garment worker to her retirement.

She was most cherished by all whose lives she touched, and she will be greatly missed.

Memorial service on Monday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., Milton, with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
