Ann Marie Carleton (Ferris), of Quincy passed away on July 7, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late James J. Carleton. Loving mother of Mary Gargiulo of Dartmouth. Sister of Edward Ferris and his wife Kyong of Florida, Kathleen Reed of Texas and her late husband Mark Reed and the late John and Timothy Ferris. Sister in law of John Carleton and his wife Frances of Canton, Shirley Ferris of Florida, Richard Carleton of West Virginia, and Paula Ferris of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of William Janis of Quincy and Olivia Janis of Rockland. Ann was also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Ann Marie was born in Boston and raised in South Boston. Ann later settled in Quincy where she became very active at the Kennedy Center where she participated in the Senior Olympics and she also enjoyed spending with her friends at the Quincy Center for the blind. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and was always the life of the party. Most of all Ann loved her daughter Mary and her grandchildren William and Olivia who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure to have known her.

Visiting hours will be on Sunday July 11, 2021 2-5PM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. Prayer service will follow at 5PM. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Ann Marie may be made to the Kennedy Center, 400 East Squantum Street, Quincy, MA 02171.
