Albert “Carlton” Harradan died peacefully in his sleep on March 18, 2021 at age 71.

Beloved father of Sonya Getchell of East Bridgewater and Shane Harradan of Framingham. Grandfather of Aamani Harradan. Father in law to Mark Getchell.

He is survived by his siblings Cynthia Danwah, Sybil Lalla, Angela Waheed, Kenneth Harradan and Alan Harradan. He was also a “Favorite” uncle to many nieces and nephews.

“Carlton” as he was known to his family, was born on December 12th, 1949 to Robert and Doris (Bissoon) Harradan of Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago. He moved to Dorchester in 1991 and worked hard to provide for his children.

He loved all sports and quickly became an avid fan of the Boston sports teams. However, his passion was for “All Fours”, a form of bridge played in Trinidad. He played every chance he got, and even won at many private tournaments with his friends.

He was a very generous person and would find a way to help a person in need if he could. Since he lost his father at a very young age, it gave him a soft spot in his heart to helping children in need. As a result, he donated his time to a catholic school for several years, he donated frequently to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and he also volunteered in the local Hindu community.

He will be greatly missed but not forgotten by everyone whose lives he has touched.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2 – 5 PM.

Funeral Mass and Interment will be Private.
